Damn beautiful. Poor cell service. Which is great unless you wanted to listen to music and didn't download it.
Nice place for a picnic. Beware that they close on early Oct. Camping is available too.
Neat Appalachian Trail park. Home to the William D. MacArthur Footbridge, which was built in 1977. Very nice place to frolic in nature ALL four seasons. City Stream flows through the park. Abundant forest majestically grows. Peaceful, serene, and proximal to Bennington, Brattleboro, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York!
It's a very nice campground. Unfortunately, management allows late night partying. It seems that they do a drive by around 6pm, but unfortunately nothing after 10PM, as the partying regularly went to 3AM. Disappointing, considering the noise ruins the experience for everyone around the party. Beautiful campground, though.
A lovely well-maintained camp ground with hot showers, flush toilets, and a lovely lake with a small beach. Open field areas and a playground for kids. We went here to enjoy the fall leaves and this was an excellent example of what makes Vermont such a lovely place to visit. The park rangers at the front offer wood for camp fires, fire starters, and fishing licenses for those who are inclined. I'd absolutely visit here again.
